Rio de Janeiro: Cristo Redentor
A couple of weeks ago I got to go to Brazil because of my job. It was a lot of work but we got to spend the weekend in Rio de Janeiro and took the opportunity to visit Cristo Redentor on the Corcovado mountain.
Here are some facts: The mountain itself is 710 meters height and is located on the Tijuca Forest and on this mountain you can find Cristo Redentor, a 38 meters tall sculpture of Christ overlooking Rio de Janeiro.
You can get there by train ( it's the one we took, it's about USD30 ), car or helicopter ( which is very expensive ).
It's a really cool experience and it's very overwhelming seeing the huge sculpture and then the amazing view of the whole city and its beaches. So, since I love taking pictures and sharing them here, I thought of making a post about Cristo Redentor, hope you like the pics:
Hace un par de semanas tuve la oportunidad de ir a Brasil debido a mi trabajo. Fueron unos días llenos muy ocupadospero pudimos pasar el fin de semana en Rio de Janeiro y logramos visitar el Cristo Redentor en Corcovado.
Cristo Redentor está ubicado en la cima del Cerro del Corcovado, solo la montaña tiene una altura de 710 metros y está ubicada en el bosque Tijuca. En la cima de la montaña está el Cristo Redentor, una escultura de 38 metros de alto con vista hacia Rio.
Se puede llegar ahí por tren ( Este fue el que tomamos ), carro o helicóptero ( que es carísimo ).
Fue una muy buen experiencia y es abrumador ver la inmensa escultura de Cristo y la vista impresionante de Rio y sus playas.
Como a mi me gusta tomar fotos y compartirlas por aquí, pensé en hacer un post sobre mi visita al Cristo Redentor. Espero que les guste!
It was a nice day, it is always very crowded but it is worth it. The weather was perfect - in the middle of the year it is winter in Brazil - but Rio is always around 25-30C, so it's perfect to walk around and see all the attractions.

Fue un buen día, el clima estuvo muy bien - a mitad de año es invierno en Brasil - pero Rio siempre está por 25-30C, así es que es perfecto para caminar y ver todas las atracciones turísticas.
