Shorts For Summer? Yes, Please

What's a better way to beat the hot days lately than with shorts? I don't know why we always stick to jeans so much even when the weather is this unbearable. It might might that in El Salvador we see shorts like something that you should wear only for the beach or at very informal meetings and not like something that can be comfortable and that could make us stop suffering this hot weather.

There are ways to wear shorts and don't look like you're at the beach. I think that it's all about knowing what pieces we should match to get a more formal look. Here are my inspiration picks to beat the heat this summer:

Just as we all must have a little black dress, we should also have a little white dress as well. It's a perfect element that goes with absolutely everything. It also helps a lot to transition from daytime to night time with just a few changes in accessories.

Holy Week vacation has come and gone really fast, seems like yesterday when we were wondering during Christmas break when we were going to have the next holiday vacation, and now it's over :( ...

In this post I want to show you a little bit about El Salvador. I went on a day trip to this tiny town called Concepción Ataco and I took some pics here. Ataco, as we all call it, is a town that is like 1hr and a half away from the capital, San Salvador. This town is in the countryside, so it is supposed to be a little cooler than the city...( Please note that El Salvador has a summer-like weather all year long, so, colder for us is like 20 degrees C ).. It has many restaurants, cafés, shops where you can buy handmade gifts, outdoor sports and there are also little hotels here.

A denim jacket is a must have in a closet, it's such a timeless piece that will always be in style, we've seen many variations: printed, embellished, etc. but my favorite is the classic jacket, nothing extra on it because those extra things will be out any time and then you'll have non-timeless jacket.

If you love flats, you'll definitely will love the studded flats, studs give something extra to everything and that's why they have stayed with us for quite some time now...This post was going to be just about flats in general but as I was working on this I noticed that I was picking just studded flats, so...I had to change the concept a little bit. What do you think about these? I bet you have a pair in your closet...

New York Fashion Week is over today and now it´s time to discuss about the street style we have been seeing non stop. Below are some looks from this week...I think that some are just over the top, I mean, who else would wear that? And others are looking really beautiful. It's great that people don't care about what others think and just wear whatever they want, that's the essence of style, but I have a question: Is #NYFW Street style an inspiration for you to follow or not?

First of all, I have to admit that I wasn't pretty much into the midi skirt, but lately, I've been checking many looks and seen it everywhere that I'm starting to like it.

I still haven't tried it on yet ( Actually, I haven´t found good options to try on ), and I'm not sure how it would fit on a short person ( I think it makes her shorter, and I don't wanna look shorter ) but on a tall woman it looks beautiful, makes her more poised and elegant.

So, here is my inspiration for this piece that is sticking with us for spring:
