7 Trends for Fall/Winter 2014
Even though in El Salvador we don´t have 4 seasons like other countries ( we just have summer and rain, that´s it. ) it´s good to keep up with the trends that are going on right now and adjust them to each country, taking in consideration your style and the weather.
Here is a roundup of the Fall Fashion Week 2014 to get some ideas of what´s on trend right now and get inspired to add some elements to our daily outfits:
BCBG FALL RTW 2014
Color blocking with fall colors and mixing textures: sequins and leather.
CELINE FALL RTW 2014
Huge platforms, we can also see that Celine is starting to incorporate grid patterns that we will be seeing for Spring 2015
Animal print.
BURBERRY FALL RTW 2014
Flowy dresses and fabrics full of prints matched with belts ( thin or wide ) to accentuate the waist.
CHANEL FALL RTW 2015

More color blocking with bright colors.
Pink is in.
DIANE VON FURSTENBERG FALL RTW 2014
Golden glitter and sequins. My favorite.
And we continue with flowy fabrics and dresses.
ELIE SAAB FALL RTW 2014
This sangria color is being used a lot this season, and no wonder since it´s one of Pantone´s colors for Fall 2014.
Sequins in dresses or you can also buy a sequin shirt and pair it with pants or jeans.
LOUIS VUITTON FALL RTW 2014
Mix textures: sequins with wool, leather with knit sweaters and florals.
MICHAEL KORS FALL RTW 2014
All about grey and black, colors that can't be left out this season.
PRADA FALL RTW 2014
Black and chunky sweaters.
TRENDS FOR FALL 2014
So, what are the trends for this season?
1. Color blocking: it's all about mixing the colors for this season, which are very neutral colors:
This is the chart of colors for this season.
2. Grid is coming in slowly, which is good because it will be a sooth transition for Spring 2014.
3. Animal print will always be in: scarfs, shirts, dresses, etc.
4. Flowy fabrics and dresses. You can pair these with your go to jacket.
5. Bright pink is a color that can help make a statement. If you want to tone it down, you can mix it with sangria color.
6. Sequins & glitter. Obviously, just in time for the Holidays.
7. Mix textures: this one looks really nice, if done well. I think you have to decide which texture will be your center piece, so you can work around it and don't over do this look and seem tacky.
And that's it, what's your favorite trend this season?
